The rest stop along the Cascade Wonderland Highway has a beautiful view over Bailey Cove and Shasta Lake. The lake is formed by a reservoir so the water levels fluctuate quite a bit during the year creating very different views - sometimes the lake is surrounded by huge yellow banks that create amazing contrast.
