About VW Slug Bug Ranch
VW Slug Bug Ranch is home to five wrecked Volkswagen Beetles, buried hood-down in the ground. It is a parody of the larger Cadillac Ranch located 35 miles to the west. The cars were originally buried to draw attention and travellers off the highway to the roadside plaza. The plaza has since closed but the cars remain and are constantly being re-painted.
