About Waihi Beach Reserve
Waihi Beach Reserve is a rugged west coast beach with thick black sand, magnificent soaring cliffs, rock formations and fossils. The beach changes dramatically depending on the tide - very little beach remains during high tide, so be sure to keep an eye on the water level as you are shooting. Plus the light can be quite dynamic during sunset. (Hāwera, New Zealand)
