Warnstedter Mühle

Warnstedter Mühle - Photo by Klaus Hübner1 / 1

This beautiful tower windmill made of quarry stone was built in 1855 by master miller Friedrich Brandt from Warnstedt. For more than 80 years it did its job day after day, year after year, grinding the grain of the local farmers. Then in 1941 mechanization and electrification had progressed so far that the mill operation was stopped. It fell into disrepair until the early 1990s when it was refurbished and brought back into running order. (Warnstedt, Germany)
