Situated along the Eastern Cape’s Wild Coast, Waterfall Bluff is one of only a handful of waterfalls worldwide that flow directly into the ocean. This natural wonder, where the Mkozi River plunges over 60 meters into the Indian Ocean, offers stunning opportunities for long exposure photography, capturing the cascading water against a backdrop of rugged cliffs and the endless ocean horizon. Optimal shooting times are during sunrise and sunset when the light creates a magical aura around the falls. A telephoto lens is ideal to capture the grandeur of the waterfall from a distance, while a wide-angle lens can help encompass the surrounding landscape. Don't forget a sturdy tripod and potentially a neutral density filter for those smooth water effects. (Rhole, South Africa)
