Wheel of Misfortune
The Wheel of Misfortune is a unique piece of urban art painted inside one of several abandoned “thickener” pits at the abandoned Three Kids Mine. The Wheel is a Vegas inspired take on the Wheel of Fortune wheel - where everything comes up losing. The abandoned mine is also quite photogenic but may not be to safe to explore so do be careful while shooting here. The Wheel of Fortune is located just behind Laker Plaza and Lake Mead Boat Storage, off of Lake Mead Parkway. At the end of the paved parking lot, turn right toward the hills and it’s an easy, two-minute stroll to the Wheel. (Lake Las Vegas, Nevada, USA)
