White River Valley Overlook

The White River Valley Overlook provides an expansive view badlands buttes stretching out as far as the eye can see under a huge blue sky. In addition to a most dramatic, colourful view of the Badlands, it provides a view of the rim area and the prairie to the south. In the distance, the White River flows eventually into the Missouri River. There is also a series of short trails from this overlook that have amazing photogenic views, especially at sunset.
