Whitesbog Historic Village
Whitesbog Historic Village is a small cranberry farming village founded in 1857 tucked away in the Brendan T. Byrne State Forest. The Whitesbog encompasses 3000 acres of bogs, creeks, and forests. Which offer diversity in wildlife, plus the peaceful scenic beauty of this historic cranberry and blueberry farm. The Trails are open everyday for exploring. Whitesbog volunteers open buildings for self-guided tours on Saturdays from 10am – 2pm during the Saturday Markets with local vendors. Plus there is a guided tour on the first Saturday of each month. As part of Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, it is free to visit Whitesbog any day of the year, walk the trails and check out the buildings. Whitesbog Preservation Trust, a nonprofit, does appreciate donations to help them fulfill their mission and keep programs going! (Browns Mills, New Jersey, USA)
