About Winnats Pass
Winnats Pass is a winding hill pass and limestone gorge in the Peak District of Derbyshire, England sitting just west of the village of Castleton. The name is a collaboration of 'wind gates' due to the swirling winds through the pass. There are many scenic trails and view points throughout this area and it is especially photogenic during sunrise. (Castleton, England)
