Wolf Creek Falls
The 1.2 mile long Wolf Creek Falls trail follows a picturesque stream through an old growth forest to a cascading two‐tier waterfall. River flows vary throughout the year as the falls plummet over 50 and 75 foot high rock cliffs before plunging into deep pools. In the wet winter and spring months, the massive upper falls show its strength. Spring brings lush vegetation and wildflowers. In summer, a lower water flow highlights a narrow funnel of water that has carved a channel into the smooth rock surface. (Umpqua National Forest, Oregon, USA)
