Wolf Creek Inn & Tavern
Wolf Creek Inn is one of Oregon's oldest continuously operating hotels, a white-clapboard building tucked into a narrow valley along Wolf Creek that has changed little since the stagecoach era. The classic American vernacular architecture photographs beautifully, with symmetrical windows, a covered front porch, and mature trees framing the structure from multiple angles. Approach from the parking area across the road for a straight-on facade shot, or move closer to the porch for detail work on the historic woodwork and signage. Overcast days work especially well here because the soft, even light eliminates harsh shadows on the white exterior and brings out the warmth of the aged wood details.
