About Wreck of the Francisco Morazan
In 1960 the SS Francisco Morazana got caught in a snowstorm that greatly reduced its visibility and the ship was pushed off course, where it ran aground on the South Manitou Island shoal about 300 yards offshore. The shipwreck still sits just offshore slowly rusting away, and getting more photogenic by the year. (South Manitou Island, Michigan)
