Also known as Glenbeigh Tower. This castle was built by Lord Headley Wynne in 1867. Wynn drifted into insolvency and left the area. During the first World War, the castle was used by the British military as a training centre for reservists. In 1921, Republican forces burned the castle to the ground, and it was never rebuilt. There is no direct access to the ruins and must be shot from the road.
