About Yanar Dag
Yanar Dag (meaning "burning mountain") is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside. The flame burns fairly steadily (sometimes as high as 3m), because of a steady seep of gas from the subsurface. It's believed the fire was accidentally started in the 1950's. (Digah, Azerbaijan)
