1 William Street is the tallest skyscaper in the city at 259.8 metres. The modernist style office building is located in the Brisbane central business district, in close proximity to Parliament House. The building was developed for the Queensland Government as part of the government's plan for a renewed Government Administrative Precinct and to meet its accommodation demands. The theme and colour scheme for each floor has been dedicated to a Queensland icon or natural phenomenon.
