88 Wood Street

88 Wood Street is a glass office tower that sits on the corner of Wood Street and London Wall. It's was designed to mimic the feel of the Lloyd's tower, so the services all sit on the edges of the building. The stairs and lifts run up the exterior, enclosed by glass and painted in bright yellow, red and blue for pops of colour in this skyscraper heavy area. This is an ideal spot to experiment with both architectural and street photography. Looking straight up from the base along the edge glass, lets the lifts, stairwells and steel bracing stack toward the sky, creating amazing patterns and leading lines. The pops of bright colour and columns also make unique detail shots if that suits your photography style better. The glass is a fun feature to work with it often reflects the sky and the buildings across the street making slightly different compositions in every frame. It is a private office building, so you are only able to shoot the outside on the public roads/sidewalks. This area of the city empties out on weekends, so thats the ideal time for clear views and minimal traffic to worry about. (London, England)
