A Slice of Purrfection
A Slice of Purrfection is a cat café in the centre of Solihull that is home to ten rescue cats that roam the space freely. If you enjoy animal photography, this is an easy, low pressure environment to practice in. The cats are sociable, relaxed, and completely used to being around people, which means you can get close without them bolting. The space is bright and the layout has seating at different heights so you can easily shoot at the cats' level. The owner is friendly and happy to tell you about each cat's personality if you want to know who is most likely to sit still for a portrait. Booking a table ahead of time is essential. Visits to the cafe run in one hour time slots and there is an admission fee per person. Food and drinks are available. Weekends are usually the busiest time, so a weekday morning will give you usually give you more space and fewer people competing for the cats' attention.
