Abbey Mill, also called Fletcher’s Mill, stands beside the River Avon near Tewkesbury Abbey and is one of the most photogenic historic buildings in the town. The red brick mill with white weatherboard sections sits directly on the water’s edge, where the calm mill race often creates clear reflections of the building. Photographers can shoot the mill from the riverside path and small viewing area beside the water, allowing clean compositions of the layered structure and its mirror like reflections. From certain angles nearby, the tower of Tewkesbury Abbey can also appear in the background, adding depth and historic context.
