Ape Cave
Ape Cave is a lava tube located in Gifford Pinchot National Forest just to the south of Mount St. Helens. At 2.5 miles its passageway is the longest continuous lava tube in the continental United States. The cave does get quite a bit colder then the surface temperature so you should bring extra layers to add depending on how deep into the cave you plan on exploring. Also this cave gets extremely dark - there is little to no natural light so you you will need flashlights and headlamps for both exploring and shooting. (Cougar, Washington)
