Avala Tower is a soaring telecommunications tower located on the top of Mount Avala. The tower also has an observation deck with a picturesque view of the countryside looking back towards Belgrade. At 205 metres, this is the tallest tower in the Balkans. What you see today is actually a reconstruction; the original tower was destroyed in NATO’s bombing of Serbia in 1999. (Belgrade, Serbia)
