Berg Lake

Berg Lake is a peaceful lake on the Robson River sitting at the foot of the north face of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Reaching Berg Lake is not a quick trip but if you don't mind back country camping its definitely worth the effort. Berg Lake trail is a moderate 42 km backpacking trip taking hikers through the diverse landscapes of Mount Robson Provincial Park. The highlights include turquoise lakes, waterfalls, glaciers and the highest peak of the Canadian Rockies – Mount Robson. The trailhead for the Berg Lake Trail is just minutes away from the Mount Robson Visitor Centre, but but due to extensive damage caused by flooding the trail was closed in summer 2021 and may not reopen for the 2022 season.
