Bonifacius Bridge
This narrow medieval-style stone footbridge arches over a quiet canal in the heart of Bruges, framing one of the most romantic waterway scenes in Europe. The classic composition lines up the bridge itself as your foreground, with the canal stretching back toward weeping willows, historic guild houses, and church spires beyond. Shoot from the canal bank at water level to capture reflections, or step back along the towpath to include the full arch and its surroundings. Golden hour light in the morning is ideal, when soft directional rays catch the stonework and the canal surface stays calm before tourist foot traffic picks up. A wide to standard prime lens in the 24 to 50mm range handles the scene well. The area is easily walkable from the Markt and requires no special access, though the bridge itself gets crowded midday.
