Čabraď Castle
Čabraď Castle is a historic hilltop castle dating back to 1276 when it was built to guard the road leading to many northern Hungarian mining towns. The castle had quite the colourful history until portions of the castle burned in 1812 and it has been left decaying ever since You do have to hike about 4km into the castle, there is a parking lot (Parkplatz -Burg Čabrad-) and the walk is quite pretty through the lush forests of the nature reserve.
