Castle Stalker
Castle Stalker, sitting on a small tidal islet in Loch Laich, is one of the most photogenic castles in the Highlands. This four-story stone tower house, set against a backdrop of rolling hills and often moody skies, offers striking compositions from the shoreline and elevated viewpoints along the nearby A828. At high tide, the castle appears to float on the water, while low tide reveals rocky textures and reflections that enhance long-exposure and sunset photography. Best photographed in soft morning light or golden hour, the site is accessible from viewing areas on the mainland, with private boat tours available for closer access. (Argyll and Bute, Scotland)
