About Cemitério das Âncoras
Cemitério das Âncoras is a rusting memorial to honour the dangerous and difficult profession of tuna fishing, that no longer exists within the Algarve. No one knows who placed the first anchors but the memorial has grown to number in the hundreds. It is located along Praia do Barril, which is known for it's pristine white sands and crystal-clear sea waters. (Santa Luzia, Portugal)
