About Central United Church
Central United Church is a historic stone church that stands tall overlooking Main St. While building the original structure in 1879, the limestone was shipped across Lake Ontario from Kingston and hauled by horse-drawn wagon from Lake Ontario to the present site. Over the years there have been many renovations to be able to meet the needs of its growing congregation but throughout these renovations, the integrity of the original architecture was maintained from the outside facade to the whole church building.
