Midweek mornings are your best bet, when crowds are thin and animals tend to be most active before the heat of the day sets in. Overcast skies work surprisingly well here, providing soft, even light that prevents harsh shadows across fur and feathers. Look for moments of natural behavior such as feeding, movement, or interaction between animals rather than static poses.
