Cerne Abbas Giant Viewpoint
The Cerne Abbas Giant is a hill figure measuring roughly 55 metres (180 ft) high. It depicts a standing nude male figure wielding a large club in its right hand, outlined by shallow trenches cut in the turf and backfilled with chalk rubble. The origin and age of the figure are unclear. It is often thought of as an ancient construction, though the earliest mention of it dates to the late 17th century. This would be a fun location to experiment with some drone photography. The best place to view/ photograph it is from the viewing point car park - most of it has been fenced off to prevent erosion, plus the closer you get the less of him you can see. As a bonus the surrounding town is full of history from medieval England and very picturesque.(Cerne Abbas, England)
