Children’s Botanical Garden
Children’s Botanical Garden of South Central Kentucky gets kids excited about science and nature. The special garden is located in downtown Somerset at the Pulaski County Public Library and was created for children and the young at heart. The garden encourages children to use all their senses to connect plants to the sciences, history, literature and the arts as they learn about different plant varieties, gardening and more. While there is plenty for adults to enjoy in the sprawling area, the garden is designed to cater to children — with whimsical animals carved from shrubs, outdoor classrooms, a miniature train depot, a picture of a tiger beside the tiger lilies, and a picture of an elephant beside the elephant ears.
