Chippewa County Bank

The Old Chippewa County Bank went up in 1900 and now sits at the corner of North First Street and Lincoln Avenue in Montevideo, in western Minnesota. It's a unique brick building sitting at an angle as Lincoln Street slowly climbs over the block. The building is covered in intricate details including a stone arch around the main door, tower on the corner with an eight sided metal dome and diamond patterns worked into the brickwork. The bank ran here from 1900 to 1925, and law offices and insurance agents filled the place afterward, currently it appears to be sitting empty. Shooting towards the front corner from across the street highlights both the brickwork and unique angle to the building. A sunny day helps the brickwork shine.
