The County of Peebles was the world's first four-masted, iron-hulled full-rigged ship which represented an important development in sailing ship design. In the mid-1960s she was beached as part of a breakwater in Punta Arenas, where she lies, with cut-down masts. (Punta Arenas, Chile)
