Cwmorthin Slate Mine
The Cwmorthin Slate Mine is a former quarry that now sits falling into ruins. The former slate mine has left lots of interesting looking buildings in the area for people who are interested in local history, some sleeping quarters for the miners, a foreman's house in the north shore protected by several trees (seen as a luxury back in the day) and even a chapel on the west coast of the lake.
