Dalfazer Wasserfall
Dalfazer Wasserfall, located near Buchau/Achensee in the Tyrol region of Austria, is a magnificent destination for photographers seeking the beauty of alpine waterfalls. This impressive waterfall plunges over 60 meters, making it the highest in the Rofan Mountains and a dramatic subject for photography. Accessible after a 30-45 minute hike through a scenic forest, the waterfall offers two paths: a family-friendly wide forest path and a more challenging hiking trail. The observation deck at the base provides an excellent vantage point for capturing the waterfall's full glory, especially during the late spring and early summer when snowmelt feeds the fall, creating a powerful spectacle. Photographers should be prepared for mist and spray, especially when getting close to the falls. The surrounding Rofan Mountains and views of the Karwendel mountain behind the turquoise Achensee add to the location's photographic appeal. Ideal times to visit are from midday onwards when the sun illuminates the waterfall. Due to its south-facing position, photographers can enjoy good lighting conditions during this time.(Buchau, Austria)
