Dee Wright Observatory
Dee Wright Observatory is a fascinating structure built from sharp volcanic stoner stone at the summit of Mackenzie Pass. Built during the great depression the location offers a sheltered view of the surrounding scenery, Cascade Peaks, and lava flows. McKenzie Pass was once a wagon trail and this location seems out of place and surreal, as if from another world. The windows bear plaques that tell the viewer what mountains they will see through the windows. Dee Wright Observatory is a unique and interesting photo location. (Blue River, Oregon, USA)
