About Devils Island
One of the most beautiful and inaccessible areas in Wisconsin. Accessible only by boat the island features a 19th-century lighthouse, sea caves, and many trails for visitors to explore. It is named Devils Island because native Americans believed that it was the home of Matchimanitou, the "evil spirit," who was imprisoned there.
