About Earthships Biotecture
Architect Michael Reynolds spurred the development of a series of off-the-grid homes, nicknamed “Earthships.” These homes use passive solar technology, wind power, recycled water, old tires, car batteries, glass bottles and more to create an off the grid community. Visitors are welcome, and tours can be booked online in advance. (Tres Piedras, New Mexico)
