El Acueducto del Águila, located just outside Nerja in southern Spain, is a 19th-century brick aqueduct built to supply water to the nearby sugar refinery at Maro. Spanning a deep ravine, the structure is notable for its four tiers of horseshoe-shaped arches and its Neo-Mudejar design, making it a visually striking subject for architectural photography. The best vantage points are from trails and roadside pull-offs along the N-340, where the full span of the aqueduct can be captured with the surrounding hills as a natural frame. Early morning or late afternoon light enhances the warm tones of the brick and highlights the geometric symmetry of the arches. (Nerja, Spain)
