The Elevador de Agua de Gordejuela is a set of dramatic ruins perched on the cliffs near Los Realejos on Tenerife’s northern coast. Built in 1903 as a pumping station, the multi-story structure now stands abandoned, with weathered walls and crumbling arches creating a haunting subject for photography. The building overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, providing powerful compositions that combine rugged coastal scenery with decaying industrial architecture. The site is best photographed from the surrounding trails and viewpoints, as access inside the ruins is unsafe. Early morning or evening light enhances both the textures of the stone and the dramatic seascapes. (Los Realejos, Canary Islands, Spain)
