Elowah Falls
At Elowah Falls, the McCord Creek crashes 213 feet down into a huge amphitheater made up of several distinct lava flows from 17 - 14 million years ago. The waterfall's flow does vary greatly depending on the season and amount of rainfall. In the early spring it can be quite powerful, spraying mist over the entire area, while the late summer usually has a lighter flow allowing you to get much closer the the waterfall's base.
