Upper Horsetail Falls

Upper Horsetail Falls (also called Ponytail Falls) is shorter (maybe that’s why it’s just a pony) that Horsetail Falls, measuring about 75 feet. The waterfall springs from a cut through a ledge of gray basalt and leaps away from the cliffs, free falling into a basin below. Underneath the ledge of volcanic rock, the earth has been undercut behind the falls, leaving a large overhang that is big enough for you to hike through. (Cascade Locks, Oregon, USA)
