Falls of Measach
Falls of Measach is a 46m waterfall on the Abhainn Droma at the head of the mile-long Corrieshalloch Gorge. After following the pleasant woodland trails, crossing the Victorian suspension bridge over the tree-lined gorge, and you can look down on the torrent of water crashing beneath you. The suspension bridge was built by John Fowler, the pioneering engineer responsible for the world’s first underground railway and joint chief engineer on the iconic Forth Railway Bridge.
