Fleetwood Beach

Fleetwood Beach stretches along the northern and western edge of town, offering wide open sand flats, weathered wooden breakwaters, and sweeping views across Morecambe Bay toward the Lake District fells. The breakwaters are your strongest compositional tool here, use them as leading lines running out toward the water or get low and close to emphasize their texture and scale against the sky. Low tide reveals vast expanses of ribbed sand that reflect light beautifully and add depth to wide-angle shots. Shoot at golden hour for warm side lighting that brings out the grain of the timber and the ripples in the wet sand. A wide lens in the 16-24mm range works well for capturing the full breadth of the bay. The beach is flat and easy to walk, and parking is available nearby along the esplanade.
