Garden Hill View

Garden Hill is a hilltop vantage point in Kowloon that gives you a sweeping, elevated view of the Hong Kong skyline, with dense urban neighborhoods in the foreground and Victoria Harbour stretching out beyond. The elevated perspective compresses the city beautifully, letting you layer the rooftops of Sham Shui Po and Shek Kip Mei against the iconic skyline and harbour backdrop. Shoot facing south for the best compositions, using a telephoto lens in the 70-200mm range to isolate clusters of towers and pull the layers of the city together. The golden hour before sunset works well for warm light on the buildings, but the real payoff comes at blue hour and into the evening when the city lights up completely.
