Glass Beach
Glass Beach is a beach in MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg, that is abundant in sea glass created from years of dumping garbage into an area of coastline near the northern part of the town. Years of the crashing Pacific Ocean have battered broken glass down to soft pieces of colourful beauty. The beach is a wonderland of completely smooth ‘sea glass’ – shards of broken bottles, windows, and other debris that have been worn down over the decades by the rolling surf. Sea glass comes in a wide range of colours, depending on the original materials that were discarded. Please leave the sea glass on the beach - over the years visitors taking pieces home as souvenirs have begun to deplete the beauty of this amazing beach. (Fort Bragg, California, USA)
