Point Cabrillo Lighthouse
Point Cabrillo Lighthouse is a beautifully preserved early 20th-century lighthouse set on open coastal bluffs above the Pacific Ocean. The red-roofed structure stands out against the surrounding grasslands and crashing surf, offering endless opportunities for wide coastal compositions and close-up architectural shots. A short, level walk from the parking area leads to the lighthouse and nearby restored keeper’s houses. The area is especially photogenic at sunset or during foggy mornings, when changing light and mist add depth to the scene. Managed as part of the Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park, the site is open daily and easily accessible. (Mendocino, California, United States)
