Gordes Hilltop Village View
Gordes is a picturesque hilltop village in the Provence region, with tightly clustered stone houses and commanding views over the Luberon Valley. Photographers will find the best vantage point along the D15 road just before entering the village, where the entire town rises dramatically above the valley floor. Early morning and late afternoon light bring out the warm tones of the stonework and the soft textures of the surrounding countryside. Within the village, narrow lanes, vaulted passageways, and the prominent Château de Gordes offer excellent subjects for detail shots and architectural photography.
