Driving over the Government Bridge from the Rock Island Arsenal in to Davenport. You can just see the “Welcome to Davenport” sign at the end of the bridge. It includes a swing section to accommodate traffic navigating the locks. The double tracks of rail above the road level is an unusual feature for a bridge.
