Grand Place
Grand Place is the adorable town square in the middle of Binche, filled with amazing architecture, cafes and shops. Also at this location the Carnival of Binche occurs annually the Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday preceding Ash Wednesday. It is an exceptional heritage and social event with its history dating back to approximately the 14th century.. It has been recognized as a “Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO in 2003.
