Horseshoe Bend, Arizona

Horseshoe Bend, Arizona - Photo by Michael Garcia1 / 1

Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe-shaped incised meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, United States. It is also referred to as the "east rim of the Grand Canyon. This amazing shooting location offers photographers the chance to capture the stunning 270-degree bend of the Colorado River. This natural wonder is easily accessible via a 1.5-mile round trip hike on a well-maintained trail, leading to a cliffside viewpoint. The vast panorama, highlighted by the river's deep emerald waters contrasting against the rugged desert landscape, is particularly striking during sunrise or sunset when the light casts dramatic shadows and illuminates the rock formations. Photographers should bring a wide-angle lens to best capture the immense scale of the scene. Caution is advised near the unfenced cliff edges. Parking is available on-site, with a nominal fee required during peak times. (Page, Arizona, USA)
