Húsavík Lighthouse
Húsavík Lighthouse sits on a grassy headland above the town, giving you a compact but rewarding scene where the classic red and white tower frames nicely against Skjálfandi Bay and the snow-capped mountains across the water. Shoot from below the lighthouse looking up to emphasize the structure against the sky, or back away for a wider composition that pulls in the bay and the distant peaks behind it. The north-facing bay means golden hour light wraps around in summer from the side rather than directly behind, so late evening during Iceland's long summer days gives you soft, raking light across the landscape for hours.
